We were approached by one of our clients to assist in the project as negotiations with the contractor had stalled with costs £600k above the budget.

The development design team had been chosen for some time and our client was taking an important long term lease on a 45,000 ft2 high spec office block in a joint venture with the developer.

Our role required examining and offering alternatives to the construction specifications and the introduction of new specialist contractors to drive the costs down without affecting quality.

The project was secured at the development budget and we were retained by the tenant to monitor the project through the construction phase.
