Stroud Merrywalks
Located within the town centre of Stroud, Merrywalks development involved elements of demolition, refurbishment and new build as well as the relocation of the main bus depot drop off points.
This high profile project was undertaken in Stroud as part of the main refurbishment of the town centre, which incorporated an Apollo cinema, Wilkinson superstore and Bowling International.
Mirus acted as both Construction Project Managers and Cost Consultants on behalf of McBains Cooper. Our specific role was to assist in the pre-contract delivery of the project, reviewing buildability and budget constraints. This included Value Management and Value Engineering duties which resulted in increased net letable areas and reduced relative costs for the client. Our role continued up to the appointment of the main contractor following a tender and negotiation period.
This complex scheme has provided Stroud with a leisure and retail landmark within the town centre.
